48 hours straight of Hunt Down The Freeman
Mark my words
They will be gone
You'll see them playing games, my dear
They've moved along
Cause one day in the afterlife
We'll meet again
Prophecies - Blind Guardian

It's probably the best story of any GTA I'm not a fan of the online though

Oh hey, do any of you listen to your own music while playing a game? Like, turning the BGM all the way down in the game's settings and playing your own instead but keeping the sound effects and dialog volume up?

Depends on the game, some have amazing soundtracks in their own right, other games use soundscapes in reality interesting ways and it's important to pay attention to them. But in a word yes there are some games where I like to play my own music and just have sound effects from the game on.Emotive Android wrote: ↑13 Mar 2021, 05:02Oh hey, do any of you listen to your own music while playing a game? That's very considerate. ^.^ I didn't know people really did that when playing multiplayers though, but it definitely does sound irritating. >.<Naughty Kitty wrote: ↑13 Mar 2021, 10:25Not really I love most of the in-game soundtracks I hear, Skyrim for example had beautiful music also I guess it's a habit left over from multiplayer games where people would often blare their music over their mics a lot and I didn't want to be one of those kids ya know?
I mainly just do it when grinding, like when trying to get all my Legions in Chaos Legion some experience after being able to revisit the stages takes a looooong time to build up the 50,000,000 experience it takes to evolve Thanatos to his Perfect form. Or maybe it was 500,000,000... that might be the number. Suchs a fun game, but when grinding for items like Soul Recovery and Life Recovery in addition to those Life/Max Soul/Attack/Defense Max Up items it literally takes hours (or at least the way I do it) but I do rack up a lot of End Stage amplifiers to my rewards too. ^.^Nishizono Shinji wrote: ↑13 Mar 2021, 20:59Depends on the game, some have amazing soundtracks in their own right, other games use soundscapes in reality interesting ways and it's important to pay attention to them. Like in Fist of the North Star: Ken's Rage when using Shin or someone else that has a stage/scenario where there's a bunch of villagers screaming and yelling in the background but no music is when I bring out my Lamb of God/DevilDriver/A Dark Halo/Demon Hunter/Killswitch Engage/Hatebreed playlist. lol I still leave the voice volume up, and the SFX kind of lowered a little bit but not too much.
It's a good feeling when someone else is as weird as me. xD
