You will love it. While there is barely any people who knows ''Engrish'', they are still super polite and friendly. And they will even do impressions or imitate something to try to explain you a thing. Something very similar to one of Chris' videos happened to me as well. Me and ex went to this super traditional restaurant, where the meniu was all Japanese, and the waitress was making sounds of a cow for beef ''moo moo''

or making chicken sounds, for chicken. I loved it how warm, friendly and polite they were as a country. They also appreciate ALLOT, you trying to speak their language. I went to this maid cafe, in Akihabara and put all my knowledge of 12 years of watching anime into practice, and they were super impressed with me, and as a reward, they've let me take a picture with my own camera with a maid (which is very frowned taking pics with your own camera in a maid cafe apparently...you can only take it from their instant snap pictures, the small ones). I'll leave also a small pic with the maid

Anyway, I'll stop derailing the thread with my experience in Japan. If you would like to know more (even though you probably know most of everything from Chris' videos), just drop me a message, and I would gladly talk about my experience, to a fellow Japanese culture lover heh
