My current obsession is Sis Puella Magica.

I wanted a dark and edgy anime after watching Ergo Proxy. I thought it was odd that a magical girl anime popped up in the list but I was just blown away by Puella Magi Madoka Magica.

This is not the OP/ED but this track is played at momentus points in the story. It's actually sung in a non-existent language, but it's kind of a mix of Latin and Italian.

Other favourites: anything in Clannad and Steins; Gate. The Oshi No Ko S2 OP/ED were pretty amazing too.

in terms of feeling epic, the gundam unicorn OVA has AMAZING music!

as far as getting me PUMPED UP, JAM project does a phenomenal job of that, here's a few examples

(this one's technically from GARO which is a tokusatsu, but still JAM project)

sad and emotional music:

and some k-on for good measure 'cause it gets my kokoro going doki doki
