It's the one anime I cannot bear to watch again. As soon as it starts I just burst into tears. So much for being the ice queen.
I read somewhere that when they put it in theaters in Japan, it was followed by My Neighbor Totoro, so you'd have something fun afterward. I've also been told it's semi-autobiographical. Don't get me wrong, this is a very good movie. But for your own sake, watch a comedy afterward.
Oh, that thing with the candy tin is true.

Amazon offers the Sakuma Drops Candy tin for a few different anime. The Grave of the Fireflies tin though is really expensive. I'd suggest shopping around. Japancandystore has a good offer.
I should probably think about Christmas candy soon.

Love this film but as others have stated, it wrecks me each time I see it
