Are anime conventions sometimes noisy, sometimes quiet?
I'm curious to know because it's my first time attending a convention, and I'm feeling a little anxious.

All the ones I've been to haven't been overly noisy, but they have had quiet areas for people to relax in if feeling overwhelmed

Depends on the size and location of the venue, and what guests are "performing."
Some larger events will have quieter, slow paced panels/activities. Smaller events may have the main stage in the same area as the Merch Stalls, and so there may be quite a bit of noise.

To those just starting on the journey of life I say...
Bang your own drum. Walk your own path. Live wildly. Love fiercely.
As you near the end, look back with no regrets.

We came to the Sheffield event last year, both days, and it was a bit quiet to me, not much happening, particularly on Sunday morning.
I don't beee-lieve it!
