Nothing wrong with Dancercise!

Seriously. Stick some music on, and dance your socks off for 10 to 15 minutes. It will do you a world of good.

Now that the weather is starting to settle down, I'll be out in the garden swinging some swords. Practicing the Meyer Square for 10 minutes will get me a bit breathless and build a bit of bulk on my shoulders.

Also, starting work has increased my step count considerably, and I have lost about 14 lbs since Feb, and probably about an inch off my waist.
i do love dancing! i am not so good a freestyle/just dancing on my own...but i have found a few local studios that do classes from time to time for adults

i too will also be in the garden, but less swords and more digging and weeding etc
swords sounds like a great shoulder workout
i was thinking of trying to set up the netting again so i can resume throws/pitches and maybe batting practice
my arms miss that work

congrats on the steps and the loss!
my current goal is to lose 25 more lbs
its the remainder of the weight i added during quarantine
no time frame given for my goal (i dont want to be too harsh on myself)
just an overall goal to return back to what i had been at for years beforehand

which i think is plausible
specially with gardening and the walk/runs and then dance classes and stage shows
keeps me moving
also need to re-add back in the gym so that when the weather turns later in the year i already have re-established the habit when i can no longer be outside to garden or walk/run

in other news, signed up for fan presale for (g)idle when they come around
hopefully the tickets wont be TOO much, tho recently any kpop concert seems to be $$$$$
still undecided if i want to try and see hyuna
only tickets for her show are standing room only, which i havent done for a kpop show yet
i think it'll be fine
it also wasnt going to be too expensive, maybe <100 iirc
tho i still wish i could get any one of my local friends to go too
i have plenty of fun alone but would be nicer with friends

Probably better than my dad dancing

what a month it has been!
had to get my brakes redone in car, despite me using it all the time the rotors were actually deteriorating as if it had been sitting unused for months...? maybe all this flooding fucked them up? who knows, was a mess, got it fixed
did not end up getting hyuna tickets because the NA tour was cancelled :worry:
still have gidle and everglow next month tho, so should be fun
work is a shit show atm, tbh
a few years back our parent company "merged" with another one that is well known for being HUGE dickbags
slowly all our upper level people from pre-merge left and this other company was basically now in charge
had a few attempts by them to take away some benefits that our union protected for us
now they claim they have stepped away from the new suit contract (which idk, bet they actually dont want to admit they lost it, news reporting is spotty and they still wont talk about it to those of us in the space departments)
this has also led to another project of ours going away too, sab2.0
so things looked troubling, but other program work was still coming in and esoc even got an extension....?
but then a week ago dickhole parent company did what they do best and hit space systems with a mass layoff of 150 people in salary ranks (salary spots arent unionized and thus very easy to get rid of)
so now things are a chaotic mess
some departments lost more than half their people
our houston site got hit way worse, but they also have more industry out there so those let go have more local options
out where i am, not much for medium to large mfg companies that isn't under this same parent company unless you go to EB and build submarines
hoping those affected end up okay
also, personally sad that we are out of the new suits...
the current ones are so old but were soooo cool in their prime!
i have two patches still from one of the suits we refurbed and replaced the patches on
i know they too have their problems, but its mostly due to issues with us trying to refurb these old beasts.
some of the suppliers of special parts just aren't around still and replacements have been hard to come by
still, sad to see it leave
hopefully our work for halo and orion will go well
it does seem to be going well for orion so far at least!
in even more fun news! (heavy sarcasm)
my car died yesterday on the way home from work
had stopped at a shop to get some groceries and then it just would not restart after
even jumping it didnt work
so had it towed to the shop (two took over 4 hours to get here, bastards lol)
hopefully it's just a battery issue and nothing more, tbd
should know tomorrow

this is a wall of meh
lets end on a high note
i built a new lego set!
SLS has now joined my shuttle on my lego set shelf :<3:

Cars are exactly like children.. Brats, messy, demanding, and cost a fortune!

sure is true!
mine is also heavily used and quickly approaching 200k miles on it so i expect it will be a bit needier and eventually will hit a point where it'll be worth more to me to just replace it
just hoping to hold off on that until i get maybe 2 more student loans paid off

in that news
1 MORE STUDENT LOAN HAS BEEN PAID OFF!
Only 4 left
I am going to focus on the number of loans and not the total because the total still makes me feel defeated haha

I guess I make these updates monthly now?

except now i cant quite recall all that happened...?

work has been okayish
its a bit of a rough go atm, having some upper level management issues that could either move in a better direction or end up with us being like boeing...yikes
pay is still great tho, so im willing to do my part and attempt to keep it going in a better direction for awhile still
in another year of rocky horror on stage
rehearsals are fun but tiring!
am i getting too old for this? lolol
kidding
saw gidle last night and it was good!
everglow (if it isn't also cancelled) is in about two weeks
played through all of the DQ builders games 100%
eagerly awaiting dq3 remake in november
doing okay on my book goals for the year
after tonights work shift, i should be at 36 read out of my goal of 45
i need to do better about reading my pile of physical books...been too many audiobooks while at work

soooo

my car died in the groomer parking lot, at least after i dropped off tycho
so its been a fun start to my week

in other news, because of this car trouble i am now trying to resell my everglow ticket
i wasnt sure hyow i was gonna make it work with work shifts and now without a potential car too...just aint happening
hope car is fixable, dont want a new one right now

saw a doc on friday about my foot
was able to start treatment but it'll take a few go arounds and it currently still hurts to walk on so dance rehearsals later this week should be fun

not doing well with my steam idea
first game in the list a-z that i havent played is not very good...
it has a neat premise but the controls are meh imo
