As I'm not a football fan, I don't personally care.
How about you guys?
On a scale of 1-10, how mad are you that England lost the Euro 2024 final last night?

I didn't even know then people who kick the ball were playing again... I guess the ball was kicked many times and somebody won in the end.

About a 5. Disappointing of course, but honestly Spain have been the best team all tournament and we were lucky to get to the finals based on our performance.
Hopefully the new manager will get the best out of the team going forward. Southgate has been one of England's best managers, but you can tell that his time has come and that his heart's not in it anymore. He's established a solid decent foundation (especially given how far we've come from the absolute shit-show that was 2016) for his successor to build on.

Again about a 5, the way way played since match day 1, I was shocked we got to the final, Spain deserved it.
As a defensive player by trade Southgate was always a 1 foot back kind of manager. He did us well though, got us to 2 finals, a semi-final and a quarter final. Something no other manager has achieved. Built a fantastic squad. But his over reliance on his favorite players, negative playing tactics, absolute questionable substitute decisions, both time of and player type, never got us over the line. Just an all round really nice guy, lacking that killer edge.
I'm glad he's now gone, but with no malice at all.

Once you’ve met someone, you never really forget them. it just takes a while for your memories to return
