Set at Basgiath War College in the fictional country of Navarre, the novel follows twenty-year-old Violet Sorrengail. Having trained her whole life to become a scribe – members of the college responsible for documenting history – she expects to enter the school's Scribe Quadrant. However, her mother, a general and the commander of the college, forces her to instead enter the deadly Rider Quadrant despite Violet's small and fragile body.
I bought it as something to read when I am away travelling, as hotel wi-fi can sometimes be a bit dodgy. At home I read to much manga for a book to get much of a look in.
To those just starting on the journey of life I say...
Bang your own drum. Walk your own path. Live wildly. Love fiercely.
As you near the end, look back with no regrets.
My goal for the year is 45 but been finishing about one a week so far, so might surpass my goal.
Got a few currently in progress:
-Seven Wonders of the Ancient World
-Slow Regard of Silent Things
-Last Man on the Moon
-Space Shuttle Stories
-Titan's Curse
-Wizard: The Life and Times of Nikola Tesla
Do audio books count cause I can't read? If so then still slowly getting through the Horus Herecy series. Up to book 14 now The First Heretic.
If they don't count then I've been slowly translating Aki-Sora Vol1, about half way through... that counts as reading right?

I just picked up Not in Love by Ali Hazelwood, Collide by Bal Bhabra, Ballad of Sword & Wine (novel) by Tang Jiu Qing, Cursed Princess Club (graphic novel) by LambCat and Freaking Romance (graphic novel) by Snailords so they'll be added to my TBR for the year
(Graphic novels can make a good filler to bump up your read count as they're generally quicker to read)
