Apart from a very expensive but tasty Curry.
An expensive bottle of single malt for my Dad's birthday (which I'm drooling over!) and a card for him
Once you’ve met someone, you never really forget them. it just takes a while for your memories to return

Off to Scarborough tomorrow, and there is an Armoury shop on the sea front so I might come home with a little something.

So you'll be putting a sword through your wallet then? :D
I don't beee-lieve it!

A cosplay sword (plastic) and a "swagger stick" for a Halloween costume.

As much as I would love to turn up to a Con with my metal weapons, the staff would go ballistic. Plus, the swords you get from the seaside retail places are not suitable for "real" practice. The steel isn't of very high grade, they are too thin, and the weight distribution is appalling. My next "real" weapon will be a short sword and buckler, but I'm still looking.

The last thing I bought was a pack of Jam Doughnuts for todays tea time snack.

I suppose it would raise a few eyebrows.

2 years ago I attended a con in York as Obi Wan Kenobi, armed with a clearly plastic Lightsaber.

By the same token though, I've seen kids attending various local and out of Town cons with VERY realistic looking prop guns, I don't think these things should legally be sold to under 18s but that's a discussion for another topic.
I don't beee-lieve it!
