thanks mel!
we're trying to make sure it's less and less stressful by the day by being ready when the movers get here

I have moved an unnatural amount of times before and can confirm that prep work, though tedious and awful and boring, really does help the actual moving and unpacking to be less stressful
Hope the move is going well < 3

we moved
we're in the new house
it's wonderful
we have wildlife, we have a pond with fish, we have nature's serenity, we have peace, it's just wonderful really
except for the movers, colonial van lines are terrible and they should feel bad >: |

What part of Idaho, if you don't mind saying.
My MIL lives in Idaho Falls so I wind up there a few times a year, ish. (She and I have never gotten on well, and me coming out as trans didn't help things...)
I live down in Logan, Utah. (Much to the dismay of basically hubby's entire family, because dear oh dear, you have to leave I-15 to get here. And okay, yeah, Sardine Canyon is kinda gross to drive through, but it can be pretty when it isn't like actively awful weather).

we did live outside of boise, in middleton, however we just moved to virginia about two or three weeks ago! there was nothing for us back in idaho, but we have family back here in virginia, and the political situation was just getting worse in idaho, so we packed up and hit the roadJade Dragosani wrote: ↑04 Apr 2023, 01:21lolin,

they arrived a day before we got there, had the means to let themselves in, and threw everything everywhere. basically we had two beds set up, two rooms used entirely for storing boxes, the master bedroom used entirely for storing furniture (couldn't even make it to the master bath), a bunch of stuff jammed into the garage... it's just a hot mess and we're going to be unpacking and moving furniture for ages :<

Bang your own drum. Walk your own path. Live wildly. Love fiercely.
As you near the end, look back with no regrets.

We eventually moved on 10/11/97, a Thursday tea time as I recall.
