I have yet to perfect slow cookers. My chicken always seems like it was boiled. Although I did a turkey roast once that came out great. But was never able to replicate it.

The long slow cooking does make it very tender but doesn't brown it much. Just 5 minutes in the Air fryer crisps up the skin nicely. The great thing is just putting it on in the morning and getting on with your day. I love doing stews and casseroles. Come home to a piping hot meal that you just serve straight from the dish.

Stew sounds like a fun idea. Or some chili. We live in hot weather so it's a nice way to cook without heating the oven.
