Now theres a move. Hope everything goes well abd safe travel.
The Misadventures of an Espeon & Goomy! [Ivory/Lolin]

I live in Fletcher, NC. Virginia is anywhere between 1 hour 50 minutes (in the west tip of Virginia) to 7 hours 30 minutes (Arlington) away.
But yes, that is a bit of a drive.
When I made the cross-country move I wasn't able to see my rental in person before I moved and ended up in a place I hated for 3 months. Will y'all at least have some confidence in where you're going?

The dream house we wanted went and got pending today and we're listing this house by the end of the month so we have to shop around again. Thankfully there are _many, many_ beautiful homes out there still.

Hmm. Well where in Virginia is family?
And these houses, someone is getting to see them in person first? Or do you at least trust your agent?
I was fine doing without it for a short-term rental, but I don't know that I'd attempt buying a house without seeing it in person first. That seems a bit too risky.

We trust our agent at least, but we also zillow the fuck outta the houses and try to get floor plans and pictures out the wazoo. I'm pretty sure before we buy we'll register for a video chat with the agent and go on a virtual tour too, since they do those now <3

i should mention we've looked at probably 100 houses by this point too

I guess it's easier with agents wanting to sell a place compared to random dudes who have an extra room and don't want to work for a living.

It's hard to find houses in this market right now. The worse is houses are going for more then there worth. My sister abd husband have been looking for a house.
