We had big bowls of Cullen Skink and fresh bread for dinner last night. I know the name doesn't sound all that appetising, but it's a traditional Scottish soup. The name is Scots Gaelic. It's a simple, hearty soup made using smoked haddock, potatoes, onions, and milk (and/or) cream. It ends up being a lovely, creamy, thick soup with haddock and soft potato chunks. A good bowl of it should look something like this!
