I have put in a second maintenance request for my AC.

The first one, the guy came in when I wasn't home (which I authorized), declared the unit wasn't running, removed the programming from my thermostat, and set it to cool and hold. It came on, he left. I understand that can be helpful for some people but I more or less know how to turn on my AC, thank you.

I guess it's not too bad yet. When I'm home and running one or more computers it does heat up inside more quickly but when I shut everything down, turn off all the lights, close the blinds, it retains at least a little bit of cool from the morning. I have two box fans that I use to circulate air at night to vent excess heat and that gets it down to 65 before I leave in the morning and I think that's good enough to get it down to 73 by the time I come home, which is just barely in the comfortable range. But the high is 80 today, higher than the last two days. We'll see.

I've been contacted by a serious-seeming recruiter for Microsoft in Atlanta.

Right now I'm like
Fuck I should do this but ugh

I guess I will do the interview but ugh. I just want to play video games right now bruh.

Even if they give me an offer I might not take it because it sounds like I'd have to move to Atlanta which isn't bad, just 3 hours away but it's 3 hours from where I want to be, so...idk.
If they offer my 6 figures though...well, maybe not even then. I'm the one who decides what my responsibility to myself is and it may not be working for Microsoft.

Still, I know my responsibility to myself does include taking the interview. Fml.

Oh I have to update my resume first. I haven't done this in a while.

God I hate job hunting. This is why I don't do it.

Alright. I've updated my resume and applied. Apparently I'll get a coding test I can do online within a few days. I doubt that'll be a big deal for me so then I'll attend a virtual event on 5/24 where I interview with different microsoft product teams to see if any of them want me and/or I want any of them.

Funny how now that I'm a professional my resume has shrunk. When I was desperate to get hired I treated my resume like a fucking everything bagel. Now that I'm professional and/or not desperate, it's just focused on what I do every day.

First, some sacrifices for the food journal. Both more than a day old. I didn't post them when I made them.

Onion soup and seasoned ham dipping melts. Unfortunately both looked better than they tasted.

Fish and chips and pickles. Both fish and chips were frozen so I didn't make any of this but it was good.

Next, I went to a board games bar again and I played two new games. Cosmic Encounters. I bought it for my brother a year ago and just now played it myself. It's...complex. It's ok, but I won't be getting it myself.
And then there's this game.

This game is pretty fun. You build a little dungeon and collect the souls of adventurers. It's somewhat simplistic but there's good variety and lots of flavor. When I introduce it to my mother's group I'm going to claim it's a rule that when an adventurer dies in your dungeon you have to make a sinister laugh.

I'm going to buy it now.

Oh shit there's new editions and expansions too. I'm just gonna buy this complete bundle

The maintenence node just says "Added 6 lbs R410A" which im guessing that means it was just out of coolant.

6 lbs seems like a lot. But I wouldn't know.

I bought a somewhat expensive hand crank coffee grinder. I guess I'm serious about coffee now too.

Coffee seems like a more expensive hobby than tea.

A nice thing about coffee beans is fresh grinding gives you a lot more flavor.
