How did you choose your car? How satisfied are you with it? What do you drive now?

You do the best you can with the money you have at the time.

I've had clunkers that I bought for a few hundred pounds that have run as sweet as you like until their bodywork fell to pieces. I've also paid a grand or more for newer cars that have been nothing but trouble.

If you can afford a car that still has some warranty on it, I'd always go for that. I've had my current car for 3 years, bought second hand, but with a few years still on the warranty. If I have any problems, I can take it back and get it sorted out without any costs other than routine servicing.
To those just starting on the journey of life I say...
Bang your own drum. Walk your own path. Live wildly. Love fiercely.
As you near the end, look back with no regrets.

I bought my current car from eBay. it was listed at £99 so I took a chance on it since it had like a week left of the auction and there was only 2 bidders so I bumped it up to £110. For 6 days there was no fresh bids and it was looking like I'd get it for cheep but on the 7th day and hour before the auction was due to end someone bumped it up to £150, so I increased it to £190 thinking that would sort it. Then with 1 minute to go someone increased it to £200. I only had £5 left so I increased my bid to £205 with 10 seconds left and then auction was over and I won it. It's the car I'm still using to this day. the only major things I've had to have done to it was the clutch replaced and the rear axel bearings and rear springs. it also has a bad case of lacquer peel on the bonnet but that's just cosmetic. it still runs and is cheap on tax and insurance. Btw it's a 2000 Toyota Yaris.

I really like this question, my first car was a little under £500 with really low mileage drove that as soon as I was able to get a driver's license in the UK. I kept that car for a few years, having no crashes, etc or tickets or speeding making sure things were checked so my insurance could gradually decrease. Then I eventually got my second car a little more expensive though I had some help with purchasing my second car but I think most importantly is that the car can get you from A to B, low mileage is always something good to look for, and also how much your petrol will cost if you are especially a daily driver having a really expensive car sometimes comes at a disadvantage in that respect :)
