My glucose tolerance test is tomorrow which means I’m fasting (including drinks) and of course this is the one night where I’m INSANELY THIRSTY

So
GTT was fine
Saturday 19th I woke up really poorly but still went to the baby & toddler show in Manchester with Ellis because we had complimentary tickets. Stayed for a few hours and picked up some bits and then kinda had to dash off (luckily mum drove me) because I felt like death. Ended up being sick in the car on the way home for 30 minutes, god bless that woman for being able to deal with it honestly because she’s one of the people where the sound of vomiting makes her feel awful so ive no idea how she managed it
Ended up having an ambulance come out to me on the Sunday because they thought I was going into early labour, which was obviously terrifying
The ambulance crews decided I was not in active labour but still told me to go in, so I was admitted into Burnley’s antenatal ward where I kinda just zoned out in agony for 3 days and didn’t have the energy to talk to anyone
Tuesday I started begging them to let me go home because the baby was clearly fine and the uncomfy bed mixed with all of the constant tests was just keeping me awake and vomiting more so I was convinced I’d get better faster at home, they were really iffy and kept telling me it’ll be against medical advice but eventually the doctor agreed and I got to go home late Tuesday night where I *actually* got some sleep
Wed-Sat was just slowly finishing recovering. I was sick about 10x less than I was in hospital so I definitely think I made the right choice, just been a struggle finding what I can and can’t eat as apparently this time on top of my usual limitations hot and cold foods are really triggering my diaphragm, and as you can likely imagine hiccuping constantly when trying not to be sick ends... not well
Yesterday was the first day I managed to eat and drink for a full day without being sick once, so definitely nearly back now. I managed a sandwich thin, a yoghurt, some grapes, a cheese triangle and a little bit of mash
It was good timing too because yesterday was my godsons christening and I would have been gutted if I was sick through that, it’s going to be a precious memory for me
