I attended the baby academy's baby care workshop today, which is a 2 hour free lesson they offer covering the first of the 5 pillars they teach for first time parents. It's honestly the most reassuring thing ever, I feel so much more confident now about baby bathing, dressing, and safe sleep. Ellis, after seeing my reaction, agreed it sounds helpful to take the "ultimate" class (A full 7 hour day where they cover the rest) together, so we've managed to book that in with a discount for a weekend he has off. Very excited for it now! And I can't wait to give my baby their first bath <3

LAGC was fun ^^ very weird not being busy tho lol, I don't think i'm built to attend cons alone XD
Me and Ellis got home about 11:30pm on the Sunday, and we slept for aaaaages after, so we lost half of Valentines Day but it was still really cute! And I feel super validated cause he got me a nonbinary flag cookie, which I really appreciate cause I know he's still getting used to that
He took me to the cinema and we got tons of snacks and watched Marry Me, it was honestly soooo good. Jlo had such gorgeous costumes and I like that it was actually funny and not just an "uwu soppy romance"
Im going to Devon tomorrow so that should be interesting

Yesterday had to be the most eventful day of my life!
Graveside service in the morning in 80mph winds
Driving around south Devon while exhausted so I was so excited to finally be going back to my hotel
But some woman bumped into the back of our car! It was very gentle - there’s literally not a single scratch on the car - but because me and the baby have different blood Rhesus factors (basically my blood type is negative and theirs is positive) I had to go to the hospital to get an injection. It’s hard to explain bust basically the injection gives my blood the stuff it needs to not attack my baby’s blood? So I need it after any accident even if it’s minor just as a precaution in case there’s any blood mixing
So I was like ok whatever an hour in hospital fair enough
Nope, four hours because I don’t have a patient file down here so they had to spend over an hour just to find my records, and then it was already 8pm so they had to wait for pharmacy staff to give the injection which took another hour and half! Luckily the midwife and doctor only took about ten mins after I had the injection to come give me notes for my midwife and discharge me
But yeah, tldr I now have a patient profile / hospital number for Devon, and I also proved to my mum that my baby is super active because it took the midwife 20 minutes to get the baby to lay still to get an accurate heartbeat count ahaha
