Well, here I am, trying to sell people on another new fighting game. Fortunately, this one will probably have more staying power. The inputs seem very beginner friendly and it has the experienced team of Arc System Works behind it ( known for almost every anime fighter on the market ).

The open beta for this game is Tonight ( and for the rest of the weekend ) on PS4 and PS5. The full release is confirmed to come to PC as well.

The game is based on a Beat Em Up style MMO that is very very popular in Korea called Dungeon Fighter Online ( or Dungeon and Fighter ). It has an extensive class system in the main MMO with 14 base classes (plus 2 extra) that each have either 4 or 5 possible evolutions (the 2 extra only have 1 each) and each evolution changes the class a LOT, so in essence, there are 60+ playable classes. For the fighting game, we have 10 characters so far, each of which are based on one of the sub classes of one of the 14 base classes. So there are 4 base classes we didn't get a character for yet to play with in the beta. Those for are Female Slayer, Female Gunner, Female Mage, Male Mage ( and the 2 extra classes, Dark Knight and Creator ). Here are the rest of the cast that already have their character confirmed.

Male Slayer -> Berserker

Female Priest -> Inquisitor

Male Fighter -> Grappler

Female Fighter -> Striker

Male Gunner -> Ranger

Agent -> Hitman

Knight -> Dragon Knight

Demonic Lancer -> Vanguard

Thief -> Kunoichi

Male Priest -> Crusader

Also, we have 3 videos so far explaining basic system mechanics regarding
HP and chip damage

MP, meter to use your specials with

Conversion, similar to roman cancel and lets you trade HP for MP

Basic Actions

A couple seem interesting. I still wanna try Kunoichi the most but Ranger also looks like a crazy zoner and Vanguard also looks interesting with his huge normal moves. Thou I'm also waiting to see future characters. Especially cause we haven't gotten any Female Slayers yet.

Well, I did play Kuno in actual DFO for one. Also, she cute. XD
Plus she seems to have decent zoning too with along with mix options.

Well, the game has been announced to only come out in summer so it will be a while. Let's hope if they hold another beta, it'll come to pc too. I'm also interested in what other characters will come. We got teased on Ghost Blade, Troubleshooter and Female Mechanic after the Beta.

Dunno, it just looks cool, where him and his stand start back to back, both draw swords at the same time and then go up into a mirrored high stance with swords crossing.
