The Hidden Race
We are the ones from time and space
Who balance out the human race,
We come in peace but not for long,
For we will put right what went wrong.
We see the truth, we see the lie,
We see into the human eye.
We see the love, we see the death,
We see the truth that must have a breath.
It must be told it must be said,
The truth absolutely must be read.
We came in peace but that was wrong,
We created a war that must carry on.
From time to time we haven’t been seen
But one people will know that we have been.
But now is the time, now the end
Of this world of pretend.
Come one come all, come to see the end
For us all.

I'm actually surprised when anyone responds to one of my posts. Mine can be weird, so maybe they don't know how to respond to the post?
And it's possible someone skip it because it's poetry.
Or because it seems like your poem is looking for a fight.
We get a lot of vague clues about this hidden race but nothing we can hold onto, so we have no idea who's challenging us, not really.

Poem: The Hidden Race
Ooooo now I havent seen this because I was on break form the forums when this was originally posted but I really like this. I love poetry and I think reading other people's poetry is really fascinating. It leaves it really open to interpretation for guessing who is this "hidden race" referring to. There are different ways you could go about it. On first thought, I felt like it was referring the animal kingdom as a separate race, but since we may not consider animals as its own race, thats what makes it hidden. I thought it could be anything that us humans interact with which was why I thought animals, but then it sounded like something that would want to rid the human race because of this "war" thats being referred to. My initial thought with that was us humans "destroying" the planet and the war could be the extreme weather and other natural consequences that comes along with it.
I am not sure how much of this I am overthinking but I just wanted to share my thoughts with how I unnderstood this poem. Like i said, I love poetry XD

I'm probably one of the last people to ever give constructive criticism, but the poem sounded very professional. Nice job.
