Monster Hunter Rise (Switch)

I'm a bit surprised that no one has made a topic for this yet. Are there any monster hunter fans here? What do people think to the new game? Are you playing or will you play?

I got it yesterday (on release day) and so far I've been enjoying it. They took what was good from world (* Monster Hunter World, the last major game of the series), added a few tweaks to quality of life (but in a way that hasn't ruined the experience), and made it more portable - offline until you decide to play online for example. No having to reload into a new session for online play like you did with world

The change in hardware has also meant an improvement on loading times. I'm so happy about this! Getting into a hunt after seconds and not minutes of waiting!

I've only done a couple of hunts so far and explored the first area. I can't figure out where to get lightcrystals or eroded skeletons, which I need o upgrade my gear

tbh Im waiting for my husband to even notice that it exists lol I dont really feel like spending more on monster hunter right this second. The last one was amazing though.

I lost sooooo many hours on world. I think my hours count is something like 170

Ive just unlocked level 3 hunts on rise, the hunts have been easy so far. But world did that. La la la la easy easy then BOOM Anjanath

I’ve taken some pics, will upload them tomorrow when I work out to transfer them to my pc.

I'm going to hang fire until the sales. So many times I had notifications that MH generations was half price on the 3DS, I can't imagine Capcom won't stick this on a massive price drop at some point in the next few months!

I have played a little bit of the last Monster Hunter game- I wouldn't say I was really into it tbh so I probably won't get this game. Either that or I might delay for several months and change my mind to get it haha
