Most of cosplay work is for the branded or the famous manga and anime. What about just the cat costume or other non-specific character cosplay?

I see cosplay as the halloween style. Just dress up like the fantasy character.

What are your thoughts?

Personally, I like cosplay lite, just as a normal routine.

So is it like a daily thing?

Incorporating it into the daily wear. I mean, this is common in Asia. They just don't call it Cosplay. But it is, in a sense.

In Asia, you can buy hooded sweatshirts off the normal rack that have cat ears, for example, on them. That's what I mean. I take it a step further, but it's pretty normal.

At some point, it can become a normal part of life in the same way 10 years ago young people in North America dressed "emo".

Thats quite interesting! I personally always thought of cosplay as a more specific idea than what you have mentioned but essentially it makes sense doesn't! If you are wearing A costume, doesnt matter if it is a certain character or not, then i guess could (and should) be classed as cosplay still.

I've done the generic school uniform cosplay.

I used to have a hat that I put cat ears onto. I stripped them from a fallen plush cat that could no longer go on. I would wear it on everyday occasions that had nothing to do with anime.

I think true "cosplay" requires one to dress like a fictional character, but what if the character in your mind is more fun?
