Rewatched episodes 1 and 2 of
Blue Drop. I really love the scene in the beginning of the first episode where Hagino is standing on a rock jutting out of the bay, a bird landing in her hand while hundreds more swirl around her - and how she turns to stare at Mari as her car passes by on the road.
Mari is the only survivor of a tsunami that wiped out the small island she was living on. Mari has no memories of what happened before she woke up five years before in a hospital. She didn't even remember her own name. She's been living with her grandmother ever since, with private tutors. However, the grandmother's health is failing (she's been hiding it) and she realizes that Mari needs to socialize with other girls her own age, so sends her off to a boarding school.
What we later learn is that only half the people on the island drowned - the rest were already dead when the tsunami struck - murdered.

Binge watched the entire series of Japan Sinks. Damn that show hits hard.
Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.

To be fair I'm not sure if it's
actually good or if it's just very carefully designed for people like me
