So I recently got a hacked GBA cart with 150 NES titles on it and I was working my way through them and found a game called
Holy Diver and my god it's so awesome!.
It's like Castlevania but if you added Contra mechanics. The bosses are challenging, the difficulty curve is well constructed and it's just really satisfying to play. It's insane that I've never heard about it.
What are some obscure games you've found over the years that you think people should look in to?
(also, yes I do sing Holy Diver while playing it lol

)

Oooooo an obscure games thread??!! so mad I never come up with this before I have a gaming blog, which may need reviving tbh-whoops, and my earlier reviews were pretty much dedicated to free/cheap indie games that maybe not a lot of people have heard of, will see what I come up with...

Postal 2 it was a very strange game where you could essentially just run around causing havoc in the world, you did have missions you had to do to progress the story but you weren't really forced to follow a linear path and could mess about as much as you like until you were ready to go and do what you were supposed to, i remember a very weird feature where you can make the guy drink petrol and he would then pee fire which you could use as a weapon.

Serious Sam is an ol cult classic on the PC I played years ago. There was talk of a modern sequal or remake but I'm not sure if anything came if it.

BLOOD is quite obscure by today's standards.
It's an old Build Engine (Duke3D's engine) game that is BRUTALLY difficult. But it's one of the finest Build Engine games going.
I have Civvie11 to thank for introducing me to it.
Mark my words
They will be gone
You'll see them playing games, my dear
They've moved along

We'll meet again

I played this on my Dad's PC when I was young, I'm pretty sure
