batter normally has a lot of raw food in it. Some foods are okay raw but most foods raw are actually pretty disgusting. So I've no idea how people can stomach batter knowing it's full of foods that are disgusting when raw.

I'm guessing you forget about that and go it's process now so it's fine. Well alight good for you, I won't eat it because it is uncooked. Once cooked it is no longer batter.

raw egg isn't even bad in some countries because they don't wash the shell (which protects it from germs)

hence why most brits don't refrigerate eggs
