While I do enjoy some dubbed versions, most that I've heard make my ears bleed

Both are equally interesting ( and I like ) when hearing the Japanese version to American one. Though I Think Dub has a different take on the Anime than when not in Sub. I'm not sure on how to explain it though it's just different than in Japanese how the characters are I think.

I have subtitles on for most media because I often find it helps me not miss things. Like, the subtitles can give clues to where a noise came from for example.
When it comes to foreign things, I'm happy with either. I'm not a snob for either because I see both as translation attempts in their own right.
Subtitles for anime for example can be very weird when you have idea of what the characters are saying in Japanese (it can be low key immersion breaking I think), and sometimes exact translation isn't an option because of culture differences, so I don't bother having this hang up.
However I know I had this hang up when I was younger but that's social pressure for you when anime and manga wasn't as accessible as it is now for the western market (VHS generation fan woo!)
It's great we have the choice of both, especially for disabled fans who cannot see or hear as well as other people, and I wish people celebrated the options being available more than choosing to fight over whats the right way to enjoy a piece of media.

Like most above, I prefer subbed anime series as some English dubbing is the worst - think about Urotsukidoji, for example D: Although English dubbing can be funny - 'One little sniff of POO-SAY and you lose it!' from the tentacle-rape scene was the best xD

It's certainly... interesting - within the first 10 minutes one of the main characters gets graped by a load of tentacles, which sets the tone for the entire film series, one of which is kinda rape-y X3

It is like a hybrid of horror & hentai, unless you like women being raped by monsters - in which case you'll love it!

I prefer dubbed. Although some of them make me want to stab my ear drums.

Dubs have gotten better over the years, so I'm good with either for the most part, even if there are some voices that take some getting used to. There are times when the dub's even preferable, like watching Shin-Chan or Dragonball.
