Indeed it's how signatures on message boards were meant to be.

They weren't intended to have images in them initially.

That's just what it evolved into

I like a mix of them. Sometimes I like to with GIFs or PNGs

It depends. I'll even go with others at times, but not often. Those are the two image formats I like best. PNG creates higher quality images than GIFs can. Still GIFs are pretty good. PNGs can't created moving images though. Both GIF and PNG can have transparent images which means a lot of options are available with both of these formats. So the both of them will always be my preference.

On the subject of alts, technically have a total of 4. 2 are gone though, they don't exist any longer. So that's me down the 2 which most know of, so no others.

I have now completed my new set just for this board. An Avatar and signature and I think the Avatar turned out well.

My signature already existed, so I didn't do anything with it. But I think I might.
