Only if it's well done with ketchup and medium rare jellybeans.

Well that was pretty goddamn freakish. Went out to check the oil on one of my vehicles and ran into a timber rattler.
Been a few years since I last saw one of those bastards.

Just kidding I had a whole bucket full airlifted into central Wisconsin.
I don't know where you live though so it was literally tons of snakes.
Good luck, bring a machete whenever you leave the house.

A machete would be too close proximity for my taste.

Pole arm? Good luck with a firearm.
Maybe a flamethrower?

I'm guessing you've never had to deal with snek.
Shovel, ice chipper, pitchfork, tools like that. I've used a .22 before as well, works fine. If you have time to go and get a gun. That's the main issue. And where it is. This one was in my engine compartment so you know pewpew isn't a good option in that situation.
Of course with a timber it's just a matter of getting a long implement, scooping it up and relocating it because protected status.

Nah I've killed a snake a few times. One with a knife and twice with a shovel.
Machete paints a better picture though.
And I didn't know that was endangered.
