Yeah I knew I wasn't ambidextrous, but not just a lefty either. That does seem to make sense.

Learning to use my right wasnt aweful though. I play a little piano and it really helped not being dominant with just one hand for that.

Yeah, it's cool to be able to use both. 2 > 1.

But what they do is they enforce the right one, not both. So they basically force the person to become worse (because it's harder for the person to use their non-dominant hand).

It's like forcing people with talent in writing and no talent in math to do math (or the opposite).

You know what it did mess me up on...distinguishing left from right. I have the hardest time knowing instantly which side is left vs right without pausing ans thinking about it.

Thank goodness we use terms like medial, distal, ventral, dorsal etc etc in medical. Takes some of the guess work out. @@

When I was a child I was able to distinguish only because I have a small birthmark on one of my hands.

Look it's easy.

Just take both of your hands and make a 90 degree angle with your thumb and forefinger. The one that looks like an L is left and the backwards L is right.

Do that in front of everyone at the hospital.
