UPDATE: Unfortunately we've run into some pretty major issues today while trying to do the conversion. As a result, we've cancelled the attempt today. [mention=19809]RedHat[/mention] will be looking at it and aiming to fix it this weekend.

With luck we'll be converting next week instead. We've decided to also delay the chat party by one week to NEXT weekend on 16-17 May as well as a result.

Yup. You can't beat a live test on the system. I did what I could on my own pc, but it wasn't usable when uploaded to the server. There's some major bugs that need tweaking

We've figured out the major issue, I'm pleased to say. To AVOID any other issues, we shall be delaying the upgrade until TUESDAY. Friday through to Monday will involve more thorough testing with more people to ensure Tuesday then goes 100% smoothly.

Yep yep, ^ this. We know what the issue are and we have plans to overcome them.

Again, it's stuff that isn't easy to spot until a live test is done. Our plan is to do more live testing (just not on here)

It's honestly a shame the update didn't go through successfully as i was looking forward to using a refeshed and new forum. Oh well, it'll go through better on the next try. (it also give me time to sort out the things i talked to mel about for the chat party, i'll have time to make one now)

Yeah, unfortunately we met a lot of unexpected issues. We've worked it out our end now (and could possibly even upgrade say tomorrow), but we want to test this a lot more before going ahead just to be safe we don't run into other problems.. hence the delay till Tuesday

Right, we have done a test conversion and we know there are a number of issues, hence the delay.

Current Known Issues - Probable solutions

- Memberlist does not work - suspect this can be fixed with a friendlist purge [Solving]
- Some PMs are missing - too many PMs, so should be able to fix this [Solving]
- Quotes/BBCodes need removing from latest posts at the bottom of index - needs a recode from [mention=19809]RedHat[/mention]
- Steaming page and stats page not added yet - [mention=19809]RedHat[/mention] will be implimenting this shortly
- DarkAL profile tab in User CP does not work - Likely a stylesheet issue I will be investigating tomorrow
- When you try logging in with an incorrect password it shows an ugly error at the top - see below, this has been somewhat customised..
- Some forum accounts can not log in and say the password is wrong - we have a password conversion script custom coded by [mention=19809]RedHat[/mention] we suspect there's a minor error here which should fix this hopefully
- The index page misaligns the description and post info so the right side takes up too much space for each forum - stylesheet issue, we're working on that one!
