I made my own protective mask.

Post by Moulders » 01 Apr 2020, 20:37

Out of an old tote bag... a few filters from my pipe and an old pair of goggles.

Now i'm ready to go out in public again.

"Every position must be held to the last man: there must be no retirement. With our backs to the wall and believing in the justice of our cause, each one of us must fight on to the end."

Earl Douglas Haig, Order to the British Army, 12 April 1918

So death, the most terrifying of ills, is nothing to us, since so long as we exist, death is not with us; but when death comes, then we do not exist. It does not then concern either the living or the dead, since the former it is not, and the latter are no more.

I think I'd be stopped in the street by our over zealous police force if I were wearing panties on my head.

Is the UK sending out riot police to chase people out of public like in Australia?

They're wearing them upside down, need the underwire to bridge the nose properly for a good tight seal.

You could try this, instead. I've noticed that 1/4 inch and 3/8 inch elastic has vanished around here, probably grabbed up for mask making kits. May need to make bias-tape strings for tying.

The fun part is finding something fun to make them from.

Or just duct tape.

The universal tool. Wrap your face in tape.
