What's better? Having a long and boring life as a full slave (no freedom at all, all decisions are made by someone else) or having a short (let's assume it's certain that it will be short) and dangerous life as a free person?
This question is similar to the old question of sea piracy.
Certainly life is important and freedom is also important.
But what would you choose? How much of your life is your freedom worth?
If there are only two options available, which one would you choose?
Having a long and peaceful life as a full slave.
VS
Having a short and dangerous life as a free person.
I think it's a really difficult question and also somewhat relevant to "normal life", and I had many different thoughts. But what are yours? I don't want to debate, I just want to listen to your opinions.
