The Sims (Main Games!)
So I wanted to chat about The Sims 3 and realised there's no active thread for Sims so here we go!
Some lovely people over on the forums helped me install the last two expansion packs I was missing (Didn't have the disc but apparently you can do it via origin with the product code) so yesterday I spent a long time working on my Sim's singing career
Had two baby boys which kinda frustrated me because I wanted a girl but HEYO
I forgot how much I love this game

I remember the simple cheat to choose the gender of your baby.
Get your sim to eat three watermelons during pregnancy for a girl
If you want a boy, three apples. Always worked for me, think you have to do it between the pregnancy jingle noise and your sim being visibly pregnant
Or just leave it to random choice if you're not bothered and don't want to cheat.

Yeahhh, I remember the cheat but i'm too lazy to turn off the needs static thing and if I eat while full i'll get my sim fat XD
It's annoying but not annoying enough because i'm heckin lazy, and well, even though I wanted girls it's kinda fun having boys as well!

Re: The Sims (Main Games!)
I've played 3 quite a bit. Occasionally I feel like playing it again, but I always play the same way and I think thats why I don't play it for that long. I like playing with just 1 sim, but then I don't want to make the lifetime unlimited. So I start with 1 sim, max out tons of skills, get married, have offspring, kill off the inferior adult, raise new sim to young adult, kill off old man, turn it into ghost, turn on free will, get bored soon after.
Now I wouldn't mind playing with more than 1 sim, but the free will AI is so uselessly dumb in 3 I don't bother with it and controlling 2 or more sims when they're in different locations get tiring and the game isn't optimized enough to not lag with even a beefy PC when changing focus to another sim across the map.
The times I play I still have fun.

Re: The Sims (Main Games!)
I was never big into any of the Sims games I did play a couple but never invested much time at all. Some friends of mine were really into it though and would use GIMP to modify the games graphics and such. Had a whole house of star trek characters at one point lol

I tend to have one main sim and then breed them to live on through generations too. It’s a fun way to do it!

I've mostly played building city ones then with people in it, but the last was people, pets and stuff like that.

I like My Sims too, as well as Sims 2 Pets and Sims 2 Castaway. Never really got into SimCity even though I had it
