Lol, no. It was amusing that they had one food thing for sale so that's what she got.

I started reading the manga. ep 1-2 covers chapter 1-6. Which is the first volume of the manga.

There's a little more gruesome visual detail in the manga but actually I think the anime does a better job at storyboard pacing and gives a better look at the character's expressions and body language. The manga definitely has the world's grunge, but the art style is a little neater in the anime and I think that difference in style lets you see more of the details. Plus the music adds a lot. So, so far I think the anime is significantly more enjoyable for me.

Oh, and so far it follows the story exactly.

Hm I wasn't going to read 6 but it looks like there could be some shots that were omitted from the anime so I guess I will now.

Oh lol they explain Marumigi. I was wondering about the name since it literally just means 'directly right'. Turns out that yes, it's because it's directly right of Hole on a map.

Lol I love the festival of the dead. Annual zombie apocalypse; cheesy festival with prizes for killing zombies. I think zombies are a boring cultural construct honestly, but this adaptation is pretty fun. This world is great.

The music at 9:47 is great. This animation uses music well.

No other anime could pull off humor like this.

That was a fantastic episode. This is a great anime.

I don't like the ED either but since it showed zombies I'm guessing it is temporary.
