I finished reading the first LN.

The story is a lot richer. So much more details are in the book about Myne’s new world and her old one.

Like how she died. I wouldn’t say it’s better though. There are a few differences but they’re miner. Both the Anime and LN are good.

I’ll be reading the 2nd LN shortly. These books are more like a novel, not a light novel,

I agree. Some waiting times between seasons were much worse. Maybe it was really popular. It wouldn't surprise me.

And apparently it is a best seller manga and light novel.

Considering how season 1 ended it suggests what season 2 will cover

Season 1 covers the first three light novels or part one of the story.

Which means Season 2 will cover 4 light novels or part two of the story.

Perhaps the 2nd season will be longer? Also for those who are interested it seems volume 5 was just started in Japan.
