I never pay attention to game reviews, and personally find it stupid to base a decision of whether or not to play something based on reviews since they don't know what I like

I only read reviews if I want a laugh, I'll make my own mind up.

I think the only reviews I actually take seriously are Yahtzees, purely on the basis that he is going to piss all over anything he reviews any way.

Reviews are useless beyond learning to know what you like to play/experience. MAYBE useful to discover something you thought you wouldn't like in the first place, but not so much considering things like media consumption are very personal and individual.

I know the core mechanics and core concepts behind Pokemon and that's what I like.
