If this were an average anime she'd be into Maki and I still get that vibe. I think I get such vibes from the dramatic action and just being so used to stories and used to the stories told in anime in particular. But with this anime being realistic and all I'm not 100% confident about it. Maybe 60% confident. I have no better idea than that, in any case.
