Re: Stars Align (Hoshiai no Sora)
Basically already confirmed in ep 2.
Maki isn't copying his dad. This feels more like compensating for a lack of control elsewhere.
Then again his extortion of Shinjo kinda feels like copying his dad.
Hmm maybe you're right.

I think it's more complicated, there are no simple answers. He might be doing both at the same time.
He might also be relieving his frustration in this way.

So far I enjoy this one especially.
Yeah, I think she might be my favourite character as well.

Conflict makes me more stressed.
Yes. I don't mind conflict for example. It's not that I provoke them, but participating in them is not exhausting to me. When I manage to "win" in a conflict it can be sometimes satisfying.
I think it's related to a skill of emotional detachment and non-involvement.

Re: Stars Align (Hoshiai no Sora)
I think relieving the frustration in this way is also related to the feeling of "injustice". When people feel that some things are "unjust" they try to repair it by imposing "justice' over the world.
His situation is bad but he cannot be blamed for it. It's just random. But he wants to impose "justice" on the world and make other people suffer as well. Because in this case the same actions (or rather lack of actions) will produce the same consequences.
