I couldn't find beluga lentils in my local shops and supermarkets, so I've ordered them online. They should be here tomorrow. I've bought some French (Puy) lentils as well, because they have similar properties and taste, so I can substitute if there is a problem with the delivery. Besides that, I have all other ingredients.

I started making my salad and realized I don't have salt or sugar here. So I had to clean the kitchen, go get some, then get everything out again and finish it. Since I went to the store anyway, I got corn after all.
I accidentally put too much sugar in mine because I was using memory and I ended up doubling the recipe twice with the sugar instead of once.
I intended to make two jars but made 2.8, with the last one having off proportions. Hopefully it's good, because I'll imagine I'll have leftovers.
I took a guess and thought maybe black lentils were hard to get here so I just told my stepdad green lentils. I probably could have found it though...maybe I'll stop at a health foods store before going over tomorrow.
I'm going to use jasmine rice for the baked apple rice.

Sounds good.
I've got the delivery in the morning. A 3 kg bag of black lentils.
I will go for a walk and after that start preparing the salad, so it should be ready for tomorrow.
I think I'll take a photo of the ingredients before I start.

Some comments:
You didn't give the amount of vinegar, so I used just enough to cover the salad inside the jars.
I didn't put the rosemary into the jars. I'm not a huge fan of strong rosemary aroma. Delicate rosemary aroma is good enough for me, so I removed it after boiling it in the vinegar. Was it a mistake?
I prepared the jars properly, so I can keep it long time now. But I will open one of the jars tomorrow.

I found black lentils at a coop.
I put extra rosemary in my jars. We'll see if either is a mistake.
Just read the recipes. I actually have to grate apples? I'm tempted to throw them in the food processor. But I'll grate them.

Yeah, you need to grate them. Otherwise the consistency will be wrong. You can of course use a food processor to grate them, if it has this funciton, but you need to use large meshes (that's how they's called, right?)
