Re: Lets Nep things up, Elgood style!
hey there my lurkers *passes out beverages and snacks*
So I've not had a very good weekend at all (except for Saturday, Saturday was awesome but I'll get to that). It started Thursday night when I got home from work. My landlord told me that high court enforcement officers (bailiffs) had been to the house while i was at work looking to remove items from the house over a debt. A debt I might add that I went to court about last year and had written off. I got absolutely no sleep Thursday night because I was up most of the night worrying about what was going to happen. Friday morning as soon as it hit 9am I called the magistrates court to find out why the enforcement officers had visited over a written off debt. The clerk of the court told me that she'd need the enforcement officers client reference number in order to see what was going on so i had to call the bailiffs. The company that the bailiffs worked for gave me the number and back I was on the phone to the court. This time the court wasn't answering and after 20 minutes on the fone I was going out of my mind. Then after 20 mins I got another call come through via call waiting. It was the enforcement officers telling me that they where coming to take goods that day at 11am. I told them I was on the phone with the court and waiting for them to answer because they [the bailiffs] where trying to collect on a distress warrant that didn't exist. The enforcement officers where having none of it and told me they where still coming and unless I paid the full amount (£660) they would take goods from the property. At this point I had to tell my landlord what was going on. He was not best pleased about the situation and evicted me with immediate effect. I called the enforcement officers to tell them that I'd been evicted and that I wouldn't be there when they got there cos I no longer lived there. Again they where having none of it, even after my landlord told them he'd evicted me and that if they turned up he'd be calling the police. I started to pack my things, I'm a wreck at this point not knowing what I'm gonna do or where I'm gonna go until my landlord said he would lend me the money but would have to increase my rent until I'd paid it back. I agreed and called back the enforcement officers and paid them. Afterwards I called the court one more time to see if there was any chance of getting my landlords money back. I eventually got through and gave them the client reference number that they had asked for and after a couple of minutes they confirmed that the debt had been written off. I explained that I'd already paid the bailiffs and the court sorted out a refund back to my landlord because the enforcement officers should have never came to the house or taken the money, there was no debt and no warrant.
Then on Saturday I was with FSW. we had 3 shows that day. 2 of them at a local village faite and the other at our regular academy show venue. First match was a 4 on four tag match, my team lost

Sunday I had to work which was bad enough but they had me do the whole day so I was there from 8am to 4pm
That leads me to yesterday. I woke up yesterday to a really swollen left leg and some kind or red rash all over it. it looked like cellulitis, a nasty little infection that if left untreated can kill, and almost did kill me the last time I had it. (I had to be rushed to hospital so I could have antibiotics pumped into me intravenously) made an appointment to see my doctor and he confirmed that it was cellulitis and gave me a strong course of antibiotics. Currently it's all over my leg and just below my knee, but if my temperature drops and rises suddenly and the rash moves about my knee I'm to rush to hospital immediately. So far it hasn't moved so I think i'm gonna be okay.

Re: Lets Nep things up, Elgood style!
Hope the cellulitis has calmed down now.
Re: Lets Nep things up, Elgood style!
yeah the antibiotics did their job and cleared up the cellulitis. Unfortunately it has done a little damage to my leg as the swelling went down but not all the way.

Have a great time at Norwich con

Re: Lets Nep things up, Elgood style!
Norwich con was fun but I think it would have been more fun if my friends hadn't bailed on me on the sunday. See they where suppose to be coming to con Sunday to see what an AL con is like (since I've been to quite a few of them now) but when I arrived Sunday I got a message saying they wasn't coming

Re: Lets Nep things up, Elgood style!
It might be not a bad thing. It makes it easier to divide people into the reliable ones and unreliable ones. It's better to learn who are the unreliable ones with a trivial thing such as going to a con instead of a serious thing, e.g. when you'd need some help about more serious things at some point. Now at least you know you can't depend on them and you can act towards them accordingly, taking it into account.

Have fun at the Norwich meet today

Re: Lets Nep things up, Elgood style!
I did have fun at the meet this weekend, They're a good bunch, but a little excitable and very hard to get their attention sometimes. But disaster struck a few hours before the meet. I was woken up to the sound of my ceiling falling to the floor. Remember all the super hot weather we've had recently? well it seems the hot weather put a tiny crack into the houses' water tanks and said tanks are above my room. so with one of the tanks leaking it made the plasterboard wet and very heavy so it crashed to the floor. The unlucky thing was the bit that fell was above my pc so it landed on it. (pc survived thankfully).
I'm off work this week. Originally it was so that I could go to ALcon but now it's so that I can find somewhere to live, we've got just over 2 months to leave the house we're living in because the landlord decided to sell the house to his son so that him and his family can be closer. There's a nice 1 bedroom flat that I've seen in swaffham for £425 a month and I could afford it, but the problem is to move in I'd need £956 to move in and I just don't have that. My aunt told me that sometimes, if your on the council housing list (like I am) and you find a place but can't afford the deposit, the council will pay the deposit and you pay the council back in instalments so that gets you off the council list. I hope they'll do that for me.
