summary:

For a thousand years, the Vikings have made quite a name and reputation for themselves as the strongest families with a thirst for violence. Thorfinn, the son of one of the Vikings' greatest warriors, spends his boyhood in a battlefield enhancing his skills in his adventure to redeem his most-desired revenge after his father was murdered.

The promotionals make it look like a good military story. As the #1 military anime critic around here, we shall see.

I love Vikings so I have a feeling I will like this one, will see how it goes though.

I don't really care about vikings but I like military strategy and tactics. That's what I'm hoping for from this.

wait wtf why is....wait I almost remember his name. Floki. Holy shit I remembered a name after just one episode. Why is Floki wanting to kill Thors all of the sudden. Seems like a dick move, you know, just getting him to accept joining the army again only to kill him. like damn, seriously?

Did they just want a few extra men to go along with thors as cannon fodder? Well no, because they wouldn't hire a mercenary group to take them on--the men would be collateral damage this way.

so wtf

hmm maybe he's thinking that either thors will toughen up from it or if he gets killed he wasn't worth the time anyway.
