I hear ya :D haha. That said, I'm genuinely not going to bash either console as I think they both have their pros and cons :) I used to belong to the 'PC Masterrace' for the longest while as well but even that has its downfalls!

Ain't that the truth! Thankfully my job now demands I have the latest and greatest graphics card so I have a reason to buy and run them :D haha.

With Project Scarlet being announced at E3, I'd hold off on a One X, because the price will drop substantially once we get closer to the new console's release. (That's also still a ways off, so if you're really itching for it, go ahead.) Same goes for the PS4, really.

I'd suggest upgrading your PC, especially if you don't need to upgrade so much that it costs more than one of the consoles above. Xbox still seems to have the best online community and is my favorite console, but Microsoft has really dropped the ball on exclusives the last two or three years; and their indie/arcade craze doesn't come close to making up for it. Someone also pointed out the lack of JRPGs on XBOX, though they finally seem to be doing something about that. FF VII-X are all there, along with the newer titles and remakes, and they also have a lot of (actually promising) indie titles to go along with the few they already had, like Ys and Tales.

PS4 has a lot to like, but to be honest, the online community is still a hindrance if you're into competition (games still feel much easier on PS4 than Xbox, a sentiment that appears to be backed by some kind of study-- I won't even try to vouch for its scientific authenticity lol). The major drawback is the same as Xbox's, though: a new console is fairly eminent.

PC, on the other hand, never really carries the same risk of becoming obsolete, aside from the usual "your gfx card is six months old?! lolz". It also has the largest game catalog by far, and services like Steam ensure it's basically always the cheapest option. Then there are all the secondary uses of a PC that consoles just can't match

Some games are easier on ps4, then computer and vice a versa like final fantasy stormblood I tried on ps4 and I just can't get all the controls right in battle, I wouldn't dare go into a dungeon, but on a computer I can dodge and attack like I would if I cold control it on ps4

I have a PS4, Xbox One, Laptop, Switch and 3DS, I will say that they all have something to offer different peoples needs.

Personally I couldn't disagree more with Tosh's comments on the PS4 UI, but then there have been a lot of messes with the XBONE UI.

If I'm playing anything strategy based it has got to be PC. Most MMO's are much easier on PC and a lot of RPGs too (although decent menu systems are your friends here games developers!)
Action oriented games are generally better on console though, although I play with a pad on my PC for a lot of games anyway.

And the switch is great for just chucking in the bag to play on downtime anywhere.
Come spook along with me

I agree with you Lloydiboy in that each console/machine offers different things to different people and ultimately, the best console is a mix of them all :) I too have a PS4, Xbox 1, gaming PC and laptop, 3DS and the Vita (I have yet to get a Switch! :XD: ) and I do find myself switching between them from time-to-time based on what type of game I want to play. PCs are king of MMOs and strategy based games period; they run better, the UI is eaiser and the mouse and keyboard interface works a lot better than a controller. But then there are plenty of games that do not work on a PC as well.

I am intrigued though as to what your thoughts are on the PS4 OS/UI then? Do you think it is worse than the Xbox?
