Those who get Adult Swim,
Mobile Suit Gundam The Origin will be showing this weekend. The manga was written by the original character designer, Yoshikazu Yasuhiko.

Servo So we're only watching 0079. Trust me, you don't need to know anything about Gundam to be able to enjoy this. You can find the whole series on youtube.

Fair. I've stopped now too. When everyone is ready, I vote for moving on.

I really enjoyed the Gundam 0079 series, it does get better about half way through but I can see why people may get bored of the initial formula early in the series. What I liked especially was the detail on the habitats of the Republic of Zeon which seems to massively influenced by Arthur C. Clarkes Rendezvous With Rama (one of my favourite Sci Fi novels). The dynamic of the crew members was also very interesting and I liked how the relationships all grew and changed as the series went on.

Interesting.
Rendezvous with Rama is one of my favorites too.

I think it's around episode ten or so when they describe what the Zeon main colony looks like and when they show a visual it's EXACTLY how I envisioned the inside of Rama to look like.
