Like Harvest Moon but with a story, dragons, magic and dungeons, Rune Factory 4 was a blast on the 3ds. I'm happy that it's coming to Switch with some new content! The only bad thing about it is that they changed the opening movie and I'm not a fan. The old OP was fantastic. That being said, I'm highly excited about this.

Come roleplay with us in Tempest~
I really loved the 3DS version of this game. The characters are great and the combat is some of the best I've ever experienced in a top-down action RPG (especially fun duel-weilding swords on really big enemies, since the male player character is voiced by the same actor as Eren Yeager) ... Despite the game breaking bug that plagues the final boss. I really hope the special edition fixes it.
I was actually considering starting a new save file to court Dolce, but I might just wait until this version comes.
I have one of the origin games (I believe...) on PS3 but I have yet to actually play it! Like so many other games, I probably saw a lets play or something, thought 'I want me some of that' eBayed for it and bought it, then added it to the 'I'll play that one day' pile Has anyone played any of the originals?
Yes, I've played the original Rune Factory on DS, back when the games carried the subtitle- "A Fantasy Harvest Moon". The combat isn't as good in that one, but it's still enjoyable. I've also play it's direct sequel, Rune Factory Frontier for the Wii. That one's also good. The animations for using farm tools play out very quickly compared to the other Harvest Moon games on the Wii. The voice acting is good too, my favorite being Wendy Lee as Selphy, the hyperactive librarian- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iuh0k0IhOQw
