Leeches are still used in some very specific situations, but I've forgotten why. I don't think hospitals keep them around for them though.

...I'm not sure that's one of the actual medical uses.
I think it's more akin to when bloodletting might actually be useful and you can't reach a vein.

I'm pretty sure fish cleaning dead skin off your feet actually isn't even remotely comparable to leeching.
