Also a shepherd's pie is specifically a type of meat pie that uses ground red meat so there's no such thing as a vegetarian shepherd's pie.

Hot for me, cold doesn't sound appetizing.

I like to bake them up and at the end put a slice of Colby cheese on top to melt over the pasty. It's fantastic.
