Just fold up blankets and put those on couches instead. That way when a guest is tired, they can go to sleep and you can surprise them with breakfast in the morning.

Oh you are brilliant. Nothing goes better with cushions than a throw blanket. Textire, decorum and practical use! I have a throw in just about every room. :evil:

I have not been keeping up with this thread but would like to give my answer to the original question:
My answer is because I like to place the pillows on my lap and give them a cuddle. I don't know why I do this but I just do.
