Alina thought for a moment and then she recalled the guy who had helped her change her tire on her car the day before.

"OH! I'm so sorry Fate! I remember you now! Thanks for all the help you gave me yesterday!"

Mile didn't want to interrupt them but this was a place a business.

"Excuse me sir, why not have a drink and bread while you chat? I can guarantee the freshness of my products, I baked them today."

IC: Hi yes I'll take some tea and whatever your specialty is. Everything smells and look amazing its too hard to choose

"Alina just had some of my delicious sour dough with freshly brewed coffee, not sure if that's to your liking though. But everything I make is delicious." Mile bows her head respectively.

That sounds lovely I will take that then please *bows and hands 4 gold coins* keep the change as thank and my apologies for stalling the business.

Imp sniffed deeply, taking in all the aromas of the bread, the coffee, and the tea. A very tall man was standing at the counter - but then most people towered over her 4' 9" frame. It must be nice to be so tall.

He'd glanced at her, as if waiting for her to order, but she waved her hands for him to go ahead.

And then he did the most surprising thing! He pulled out four gold coins for a slice of bread with jam and coffee!

FOUR GOLD COINS! She knew households that managed on less in a year!

Her smiled faltered. Just what sort of place had she walked into that they could charge a year's salary for a light breakfast?

Mile looked at that man.

"This is really, way too generous sir, I can't accept this as payment." Still Mile took out a loaf of sourdough and some coffee and served him without taking any of the gold.

I insist I'll tell you what *looks at the shorter person that let him cut the line* Take the coins and fill her order and anyone elses orders until its worth the coins. I'm sure the money will keep this place going and I have a feeling I'd like to return * starts eating the bread and enjoys the texture*

Her tiny hands balled themselves into fists as her smile fled for safety.

"No." Imp said as she stomped her foot, then pointed her finger accusingly at Fate. "I do not know you. I cannot accept your gift, it comes with hidden obligations. I'll buy my own breakfast!"

I'm sorry miss there was no obligation, the owner thought my tip and apology would be too much I figured offering pay your tab would be a good compromise. Besides you were nice enough to let me cut you in line so it was also a thank you

"If you wish to tip her, put the coins in the tip jar," Imp scowled, rolling her eyes. "Then she's free to do what she likes with it.

*realizes he clearly offended her* My apologies *puts the coins in the tip jar* Mile I believe? Thank you very much I'l stop by later. * turns to Alina and sits at the table next to her getting out of imps way* Good seeing you again.

Alina puts another silver coin on the counter. "Miles, can I get another cup of coffee please?"

Alina turns to Fate and giggles hysterically. "Oh Fate, did you really believe I had forgotten you so quickly? Of course I remember you, we danced at my cousin's wedding last Tuesday. I had a great time. Sorry if I upset you. Here, I'll make it up to you."

Alina leans over and kisses Fate's cheek.

Alina winks at him and asks, "How did you like that apology?"

Mile nods to Fate as he thanked her. Then Alina asked for another coffee and paid for it, Mile took the coins. Then Mile poured Alina another cup of coffee.

"Here you are, enjoy." Mile bows her head.
