Okay I read into this one, apparently before refrigerators were invented, people in Europe & USA in the 1920’s used to put cloth in the larder once a year to bring goodluck.
The way people continue the tradition today now that food storage has changed is by putting a pillow on or in a fridge to bring luck haha. I'm sure a cloth would still be much easier xD
