i'm terrible with some. I get really into some JRPGs when things go pretty well for me, then when things go wrong, it's like crashing into a brick wall, I completely stop for a while

I'm playing Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 as my female Saiyan, Aurora. SUPER VEGETA TIME!!!!!!!! I can't wait till I get the SSGSS Awoken Skill though!!! >:} I still haven't gotten further than the fight with Slug as far as the main Time Patrol goes.

I can definitely sympathise with this I keep telling myself 'Do NOT buy another game... Do NOT start another game... until you have at least finished another in your collection first!' Then Steam/PSN/XBL has another sale and...

That said, I think the biggest thing that keeps getting in my way with JRPGs is I'll start one when I have a spare evening or a weekend and plow hours in to then it's back to work or I have some big free lance projects come in and my time is eaten up with that; by the time I get an opportunity to return to said game(s), I've forgotten the storyline, characters, how to play the game, where I was, what I was doing... etc etc and short of starting all over again, I find it really difficult to pick it back up so I tend to leave it and move on to another thinking 'It's ok... I'll finish this one this time...' rinse and repeat

Sounds really unlucky...
I also get badly burnt out trying to grind to achieve certain trophies, or if I just simply pile too much grinding and farming onto myself

Keep at it bud Cracking game and absolutely loved it.

Finally got round to plugging the VR headset in to my PS4 over the weekend and playing the 'VR Worlds' game - have to say, really impressed with the quality of the PSVR and definitely recommend it even with the limited time I've spent on it. Also got stuck in to 'Over Cooked' as my better half wanted to give it a try and we got a little addicted playing it until 1am this morning

Luck hasn't gone my way on it though. I thought that if I'm going to finish the game, I might was well max out every character's equipment but unless i blow 30k credit on the best drop rate blessing, upgrade materials refuses to drop...
otherwise without that borderline obsession of mine, I'd have the platinum at least 3 days ago lol

Haha! Nice mate, nice I guess it's down to how badly you want that platinum or not You're definitely a lot more involved than I am; I didn't come close to maxing out their equipment but I have to admit, I will most likely return to it one day to do exactly that! I wanna see those 7-8k single hits

I tinkered about with the gems. It's a fiddly process, but I'd have that in a boss fight, just before I break their guard, I'd change the gems to Assault and Last Stand Gems. it dramatically boosts your attack, but wearing both will leave you with 0 defense like a Glass Cannon, then I just smash their guard, spam the most powerful skills, which can really hit them like a truck and switch the gems back. the only problem is setting that up while you're trying not to get hit by the boss. Only start the battle with those gems though if you're confident at guarding and parrying. but yeah I get some nice damage doing that.
