i vaguely remember something about that from one of the mystery dungeon games, but i've played maybe 10 minutes of one and realized it wasn't my thing, so don't quote me on that

the mystery dungeon games supposedly have good stories but the gameplay was enough to turn me off of them : /

same, didn't get into most of the spin-off games

although i really liked pokemon puzzle league / challenge if it was literally just panel de pon / tetris attack

True. I do like some of th elite side games, like Picross and Shuffle, but console wise...not really.
